Questions
I not sure which is better. Go find another part-time job. I don't want to risk my capital on a business that might fail.
Working part-time can be an easy way to supplement your retirement income. You do not have to worry about complicated taxes, business licenses, regulations and your have the freedom to move from town to town. However, you will be expected to show up for work at fixed hours. Often the jobs available for seniors are boring and low-pay like working in restaurants, retail, or service industries. By having your own part-time business, you are the boss. You work when you want, where you want, and generally how you want.

I've seen a lot of ads in "opportunity" magazines about making money stuffing envelopes. Is this legitimate?
The short answer is NO. Most of the advertisements that you see in "get rich quick" magazines for stuffing envelopes at home are fraudulent. These companies make their money by selling you a sign up kit. However, it is possible for you to contact printers like Kinko’s to let them know that you are available for full-service mailing for their clients. You can design their flyers, stuff the envelopes, put on labels and stamps and drop them off at the post office.
